What is a PEO?

 

The Professional Employer Organization (PEO) is an updated version of a service model formerly known as Employee Leasing. In the Employee Leasing model, the employees of the client company would become employed by the Employee Leasing company and be “leased” back to the client company. This model has become outdated and has been replaced by a new Human Resource Outsourcing model called the Professional Employer Organization. The features of a PEO are:
